Here at IcarTeam we are in the epicenter of activities of the manufacturing community. As the year end is closing in, we are hearing about moderate growth and brighter forecasts for 2015. Among issues that inhibit the current growth rate and is likely to impact the entire industry in the foreseeable future, all our partners name one challenge – the so called “skills gap”. In fact we are facing this issue as well when hiring engineers and technicians for the Repair Depot, IcarTeam’s vast test and repair facility. However instead of complaining about it, we chose to take on this challenge in a different way – by launching continued training programs. Indeed, we have all the resources for such an initiative: we have highly skilled engineers and technicians, we have the luxury of operating a wide range of industrial equipment such as CNC machines and robots. We partner with the leading manufacturers and service professionals. The combined pool of expertise is enormous and it only makes sense that we should be contributing to minimizing that dreaded “skills gap”.
We our happy to announce major partnerships we established in bringing the advanced continued training programs to those who are looking to upgrade their professional skills and give their career a significant boost. SOLEX, A Wheeling, IL based college, will be actively involved in the development and launch of the joint training programs that are slated to launch here at IcarTeam in early 2015. STARS-HR, our talent management partner is going to coordinate the candidate search and admissions.
We are excited about these news and will certainly be keeping you updated on further developments. For inquiries about the forthcoming training programs please contact Scott Brown, Training Programs Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-465-9080 ext. 308
