We will be starting the second trimester of electronic courses after work hours. The classes start the week of January 11th. Please fill out the survey to indicate if you are interested and what time works best for you. Survey will end at 5:00 PM on January 5, 2016.
Next week we will hold a review session for Exam 1. The instructors will show you your grade on the exam if you have not seen it already and will go over the exam. Anyone is welcome to attend as a review of the first trimester, even if you did not take the exam. The review session will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5:15PM to 7:30PM. If you cannot attend and wish to see your exam grade or have any questions please see either of the instructors after normal work hours.
Going forward the classes will build upon the main principles of the first 12 lessons. There should be more lab work and some exciting new topics. Topics will include: diodes, zener diodes, thyristors, operational amplifiers, transistors and other analog circuit components. Also, a shift in the class structure will be made and most classes will consist of a 45 minute lecture followed by a 45 minute to 1 hour lab. Anyone is welcome to join even if you haven’t taken all of the first 12 lessons. If you were not able to attend any of the first trimester lessons all materials and video lessons will be posted to ICARUS DMS for download.
